Hello everyone!
Well, today I’m
gonna tell you about a special walk that I have done. In the summer of 2011 I
went with my best friend –María– to Puerto Dominguez. This place is part of the
IX region in Chile, and it’s a magical place!. I traveled to this town, because
María was born there and her family lives in some little Islands of Budi Lake.
María descends from mapuche ethnic group, so the people who put us up, was
mapuche too. It means that i could know better their beautiful culture.
Everything
started when we arrived to Puerto Dominguez in a very old bus, then we crossed
on a boat to the first little island. This island and the lake were very beautiful;
there were many trees and animals that I ever seen before. The house’s entrance
was very nice too, how you can see in this photo. Then i knew Clarita, who was
a very nice woman, our host.

The day started early
in the morning with a very cold shower. Then we came to give the animal’s food,
after this, we reaped some potatoes, broad beans, and a lot of different
vegetables.
Then we went to
the lake and swam some time. That’s was very funny, because we took the boat,
and sailed to the middle of the lake to get out on the water. We sailed then to
the town, walked to know some interesting places like the Puerto Dominguez’s cemetery;
you can see it in the photo
And then, we came
back to the house, to cook churrascas, saw the stars in sky, the animals and
stayed around the campfire. That's my walk story; i hope that you enjoy it!
nice experience and good pictures, the south of Chile is magic!
